TARANAKI AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY.

CHAMPION BUTTER-FAT COMPETITION. In connection with tho forthcoming butter-fat competition which ■ takes place during the Taranaki Agricultural Society’s next spring show, the committee has made all the necessary arrangements with regard to. paddocking and care of stock during tho competition. Excellent paddocks, in the immediate vicinity of tho .paddocks used last year,- have been secured, with borough water supply in each paddock. The committee is anxious to point out that all farmers who have a good cow by a. pedigree sire should enter for the competition, as it means a big advertisement to tho owners of the winning cows, besides the fact that the prize list is very liberally endowed, tho sum of £lB being given to the first four cows in the competition. Entries for the above competition close with the secretary on Saturday, November 12.
