REPUBLICANS NOT ACTIVE. By Electric Telegraph.--Copyrigm, LONDON, Oct. 21. The Times’ special correspondent at Madrid says that a Republican coup d’etat would only plunge Spain in civil war. The- Catholics are too strong to submit to the anti-religious faction. The Republicans are not forcing a crisis, and arc willing to gain time by supporting the Premier, Sonor Canalejas, whoso position is delicate. The correspondent believes that King Alfonso will place the throne in extreme jeopardy if ho abandons Senor Canalcjas and returns to the Conservatives.
