STRATFORD.
(From Our Resident Agent.) ■ Sept. 27.—The Cardiff, Huiakama, Mnkahu, and Puuiwhakau dairy companies arc consigning their produce to London through itho National Dairy Association. Tho association is this> season handling the output of about thirty, factories, so the principle of concentration will have a fair trial.. , . Some cases of alleged sly grog selling in the Ohura Road settlements are to be heard at the S.M. Court on Friday. A full house is expected. Dominion Day went uncelebrated here. The school is closed for a week’s holiday and no children were available to do, any flag-saluting, ? or to make an audience for patriotic orators. The bowling season not having opened, the old boys had no opportunity of relieving their feelings by saluting tho "jack.” The bowling green will probably be informally opened on Thursday if the present sunshine endures. It is officially announced that unpaid borough rates are to be sued for. Tho intimation may act ns a preventive of the attack of loan fever that appears to be developing in the body, corporate. There is a full house again at the hospital, every bed occupied.
