JEFFRIES-JOHNSON FIGHT. SHIFTING CAMP. BOTH MEN GETTING FIT. D.y Elect,r>'- Telegraph.—Copyright. (Received June 25, 10.10 a.in.) VANCOUVER, Juno 24. All those connected with the coming prize fight have deserted San Francisco for Reno. Jeffries arrived there on Wednesday and began gymnasium work immediately, unmindful of the high altitude, but his breathing was not affected and ho showed no sign of being tired after hours of vigorous training. Visiting experts wore surprised, and believe he is quite ready to fight now. Some say there will be a long battle; others expect a quick ending. J. L. Sullivan is snubbed in Jeffries’ camp. Corbett said lie was not welcome, and Jeffries would not shako hands with him. The reason is that Sullivan is accused of sneering at both combatants. Their friends are unable to patch up the quarrel. Johnson reached Rono on Friday. Ho has done little work for the last three days on account of transferring his camp from San Francisco. He says' that much work is not necessary, as lie is in good condition. Johnson hae settled his financial difficulties with his former manager, Little, by paying him £15,000. Ho has sold Iris share of the proceeds from the cinematograph incturos for £50,000, and Jeffries has done the same. Rickard, the promoter, has sold his share for £25,000. The Governor of Nevada is expected at Rono on Tuesday to confer with tho promoters. There is not considered to be any danger of interference.
