PETROLEUM.

THE WEEK’S OUTPUT. During the past week very satisfactory developments have taken place at tho Moturoa oil wells. From last Saturday until last oil were procured from No. 2 bore. The first day that tho oil commenced to flow, however, a great deal was lost, for the matter ejected contained much silt and water, from which it was difficult to separate the oil. The well soon cleared itself and is now flowing clear mineral water and oil. The yield at No. 2 well for tho 24 hours ending noon to-day was about 25 barrels. At No. 3 the activity is still maintained; : .
