FITZROY TOWN BOARD.
A meeting of the Fitzroy Town Board was held on Monday, all the members being present. Mr. Outfield was appointed {delegate to watch the board’s interest in the construction of the weir at the Waiwakaiho River. It was also agreed that the attention of the County Council 1 be called to the long delay in the matter. It was decided that the bo and form a committee to wait on the committee set up by the Borough Council, re erosion on the Clemow Road. It was agreed, on the motion of Messrs. Jackson and Cutfield, that the request of the Borough Council re extension of abattoir district be acceded to, subject to permission being given to kill pigs at the bacon factory. Mr. Ingley was given what; power the board ' might possess for killing ■pigs at the bacon factory; provided Jie caused no nuisance.—lt was decided that the members of the board could inspect at any time, and that should they at any time consider a rwiisance was being created, he would! cease slaughtering.
