In the tennis semifinals of the men's champion doubles, F. and A. Wilding beat ±L Brown *nd Blair 6—3, 6—4, 6-^-2. In the ladies champion singles, Miss Nunneley beat Miss A. Gray 6—3; 12—10 and Mifts Powdrell beat Miss Travers 6—2, 4—6, 7—5. Fifteen pick-and-shovel men, a handy blacksmith, and a camp cook are advertised for. To-morrow, at 2.80 ? Webster Bros, will sell at their fruit mart a large consignment of prime Nelson, Auckland, and' Hawke's Bay stone and other fruits.
