BOWLING.

The Fitsroy green was opened for play on Thursday, about twenty members being present. The green is in capital order and there is every prospect of a successful season. Quite a number of new members have joined the club, and there is every prospect of a considerable number more Joining when the green is declared open for play every day. The members are very keen on the game, and there is a spirit of fellowship and good feeling which makes the gathering on the green, apart from the game, very enjoyable. Johnson, Hobbs, Pord, Rennell (skip), 18; Crawahaw, Hill, Calender, Griffiths (skip), 26. Dingle, Leajand (skip), 25; Bennett, Abbott (skip), 26.
