[Deceased was born in Now York in 1839. He entered the printing press factory of R. Hoc and Co.. founded by iiis grandfather. Robert, and developed the printing press from the "Hoe cylinder of 1846 patent to the present double sextuple Hoe. Deceased also developed presses of greatly improved type for printing in colours and tlio manufacture of circular saws and saw bits. Ho hatt large factories in New York and London.]
