The weather is fine, an average attendance and the tracks in good order c for the first day's racing of the " Wanganui spring meeting. The results l are aa folimr: — 1 : Flying Handicap. — Gold Lace 1, ? Nicotine 2, Longner 3. AH started. ll Mon Ami and St. Bill were leading at the start. Entering the straight Waiata was in command. Gold Lace then came away, followed by Nicotine,' the former winning by a length. Time, lmin 16|sec. . I Maiden. — Tru© Shot 1, Celeano 2, f, Latchet 8. Scratched: Blue Gum, t Equites, Official, Arivore, Slipaway, c Royal Patron, St. Kildare. The win- r ncr was first into the straight and led \ all the way, winning by a length, with t Celeano half a length ahead. Latcbet , and Idealism got away badly. Time, lmin. 46sec. , In this issue the Woodville Jockey | Club advertises the programme for its spring meeting on December 8 and 9 next. As usual, the programme is liberally endowed, and should appeal to trainers and owners. The handicapping and starting will be in the capable hands of Mr. J. E. Henrys and ] 31r. C.
