Reference to the balaiice-shcet shows that the winnings of crews were £95 10s — the record in the annals of the club's history. Members' subscrintions show a decided falling-off, which is regrettable, and the committee trust that those in arrears will make themselves financial. With the assistance of Mr. Jennings, M.P., aad the Rowing Association, the £9 previously paid as duty on the Beit and Best boat has been refunded. The club's working account for the year showed a profit of JE6S odd, and with' this amount the bank overdraft has been paid off nnd a credit of £22 19s KM remains to the club's credit. Crews started during the season in nineteen races, at Waitara. Wanganui, and Mok.nu, being placed I first on fourteen Occasions and second ' five times. In addition the rigger crew started and were unplaced in the champion fours at Mower. It will no doubt be satisfactory to the outrigger supporters to know that during the past five seasons crews have -won £122, of which £28 was accounted for last year. The winnings of the -whaleboats for the season was £<68 10s, or £201 10s for the same period. Your committee were unable to carry out last year's suggestion that pair-oar and single-sculls floats (second-hand) be procured, and it will be for the incoming committee to keep the object in view. The thanks of the club are again due to Mr. W. J. Clare for his great assistance on tihe Mokau trip, when he conveyed club members to and from the regatta free of charge; also to the lady supporters and to members of crews that travelled, they pay* rag their own expenses, thus keeping down expanses very materially.
