" The Copenhagen Zoo" is a most instructive and interesting picture. " Ati Englishman's Home" was a favorite. While this film was being shown, Air. Tom Woodard gave a fine rendering of the song "Aa Englishman's Home." The film depicting the All Blacks v. Wallaby football match met with appreciation, as also did "Scenes Around Kil'arney' and " Napoleon and th c English Sailor.' One of the best items was the British | Naval and Military Review before King Edward. The comic and trick films were all new and most laughable, that depicting " The Runaway Horse" being perhaps the most amusing seen in Plymouth. All the pictures are cic»ijy shown on an extra large screen, me operator, Mr. Douglas, handling the machine admirably. A feature of the snow in the effects produced behind the stage as the various pictures are being produced. The artist responsible for these effects is Mr. H. Brooks. Mrs. Violet Hurdley, the pianist accompanying the show, played appropriate music, her artistic manipulation of the piano giving a fitting finish to the entertainment. This afternoon a matinee will be given, when children will be admitted to all part* of the Theatre for 6d. To-night a special list of pictures will be submitted, amongst which -will be "Venice from a Gondola," -A Trip Through Savoy," " A Bear on the Stairs" and "A Share of the Poor." By special request the films depicting toe Naval and Military Review and " The Runaway Horse' will be reproduced. West's Pkture Company intend to give weekly performances at the Theatre Royal, and if last night's standard of excellence is maintained the innovation I Should be attended with great success.
