Th« old standing dispute between th » North Shore Gas 00. and the Employees' Union culminated in the Union issuing an ultimatum that unless the company agreed to an immediate conference -with a view to the company withdrawing its application tor a Wages Board, the employees be called out at one o'clock to-day. This meant the calling out of the cily gasworks employees. Negotiations resulted in the company agreeing to confer with the men next week, the men meantime continuing work.
