Per Press Association WANGANUI, August 26. ' The Egmont-Wanganui Hunt Oub held its annual steeplechase meeting en the racecourse to-day. The fields were large and the finishes exciting. Results: — Hack Hurdles. — Clemency 1, fiaggie Paul 2, Taupo 3. Won by two lengths. Licensed Victuallers' Steeplechase. — The Vagrant 1, Laatafoa % Rapanui 3. Won with great ease. ' Open Hack Handicap.— Overtime I, Captain Bell 2. A good finish. Time, 52sec. Hunter*' Handicap Hurdles Kamo I, Lochgnard 2, Waterworks 3. Won by a length and a half. Time, 2min. 594 sec. Open Hack.— Apollonari* 1, Captain BelF 2, Quick Maroh 3. Won by « bead. Time, lmiri. 6f«ec. Hunt Club Cup.— Mauri 1, Aesop 2. Won by two lengths. These w«re the only horses to finish.
