PARENTS CHARGED WITH MANSLAUGHTER. Per Press As«'>"iation. AUCKLAND, August 27; The inquest on the infant child of Uobert John and Josephine Olive. Neill hud a sensational ending, the jury returning a verdict in accordance with the medical evidence that .the child had been wasting away for three weeks. The mother of the child stated that she put the child to bed at 4.30 p.m. and she retired herself at 8 p.m. • The child slept ti11, 2 a.m. when it awoke screaming. She rubbed it with oi) and gave him a not bath while her husband ran for a doctor. The child was dead when the doctor arrived. Ueill and hie wife (the former is 21 years of age and the latter 18 years of age) were arrasted and charged with manslaughter.
