WELLINGTON SESSIONS.

WELLINGTON, August 24. At the Supremo Court to-day, Peter Williamson Tait was re-tried on a charge of seriously assaulting two persons in a Wellington boarding house. He was first tried yesterday, when the jury failed to agree. To-day the jury returned a verdict of not guilty. Edgar John B. Clougli was found guilty of obtaining money under false pretences and sentence was deferred.
