During a heavy westerly blow, a wall in course of renovation in Sussex Street fell, burying and injuring four workmen, two seriously. Another wall in Bathurst Street coll&psed, injuring the workmen. STRIKE AT NEWCASTLE. SYDNEY, July 26. As foreshadowed, the waterside workers at Newcastle struck as a protest against ships' crews discharging ballast. Shipping generally is at a standstill. ; Later, through the mediation of the ' traffic manager of railways, the colliery ] proprietors and shipping agents agreed \ to meet the men in conference before ' Wednesday to' discuss the whole ques- 1 tion.
