JUBILEE VILLA.

RE-OPENS ON SATURDAY. That woll-known house, tho Jubil<>o Villa, which was lately very seriously damaged by fire, has now been repaired and. entirely renovated throughout. The top story has been practically rebuilt and lavatories and bathrooms refitted, and the whole building painted and papered throughout. It is now complete and up-to-date in every way. Mr. 6. A. Thomson, the new proprietor, who has had considerable experience in large boarding establishments, has wasted no time in getting the house into apple-pie order. Although the building was not out of the contractors' hands until Saturday last, Mr. J. ' Hayden, who was entrusted with the 1 furnishing, had his preparations well forward, and was able to completely re1 furnish the building in two days. The bedrooms, of which there are 25, are ' certainly a credit to his work, and for ' comfort and convenience are quite equal to anything in New Plymouth. 1 Mr. Thomson has been fortunate in securing the services of a first-class ' chef, and intends to make a specialty of the dining room. Country people and patrons generally can rely upon receiving the best treatment in this respect. ' ' Mr. Thomson will provide daily from 9 noon a shilling lunch equal to anything f obtainable in the Large centres. Board- » ers and visitors to New Plymouth will J find that their comfort has also bean n ' considered in every way. A men's * smoking room and Jadies' sitting room * j cosily furnished and with large firen places, have been provided on the ? ground floor, whilst upstairs the bed- '• rooms, both single and double, are 'i large and nicely arranged. Two bathr rooms and lavatories are also provided. * Handy to the station and the centre of k- the town and under first-class manage- ? | ment, the Jubilee Villa will Boon regain ' r its former popularity.
