It is said the men were in a boarding house in Cambridge Terrace and that a' quarrel took place, ending in Tait drawing a pocket knife ancl\. stabbing M'Coll seven or eight times -in. -fcbe face and body* The doctor ordered M'Coll's immediate removal to the hospital, where it was found his condition was so serious that the doctor would not allow him to make any statement regarding the occurrence. .
