London, April 19. Mr. T. A. Coghlaiij Agent-General for New South Wales, in a letter to The Times in reply to an Australian correspondent's strictures, claims that the New South Wales office in London prevented Thousands of persons emigrating whose presence in Australia would not be of advantage to the latter. On the other hand, thanks to the business-like methods of the various States, thousands of excellent settlers have established themselves in Australia in nvent years.
