Sheep. — Ewes in average lines made 9s 6rl to 10s 6d, one or two lots in very forward condition making l^s to 12s Od The very few lambs ottered were sold at late rates. The yarding oi fat lambs was very small compareu with last week, 2835 being ottered against 5152. Freezing buyers took 235-1, prices ranging from 10s bd to 13s sd, a tew ot quality making 13s 6d to 14s. The butchers purchased 481 at from 10s 9d to 13s 7cl, extra making 14s. Prime wethers 15s to 16s lOd, extra to 18s r lighter 12s od to 14s 9d, prime ewes 11s to 15s, others 7s 3d to 10s 6d. ~ Cattle.— Best steer beef realised 20b to 21s 6d, medium 18s to 19s 6d, and cow beef 15s to 17s 6d per 100 lb. Steers made £7 10s to £10 ss, heifers £5 to £7 15s, and dry cows £4 Is to £8 2s 6cl. There was a small entry of stores, the sale dragging and a fairly large proportion of the - entry heing passed. Prices: 14 to 18-montb old sorts 25s to 30s, 2-year steers 45s to 555, 2-year heifers 40s, 2i-year steers £4, dry cows 20s to 70s. There was a good yarding of dairy , cows and a good demand for best class at prices from £3 (is to £10 7s 6d.
Pigs. — Choppers realised 63s 6d, heavy baconers 55s to 635, lighter 48b to 54s (equal to 4£d to 4|d per lb), heavy porkers 38s to 445, lighter 32s to 37s (equal to 6d per lb.).
