A FIT OF MANIA. By Electric Telegraph. — Copyright. MELBOURNE, March 23. A tragedy is reported from North Brighton. William Holmes, his wite and two children, aged respectively foup. years and two months, wore found dead in bed. * Holmes had his throat cut, and the others' heads were battered in. The man had used a claw hammer to kill the family, and then committed suicide. Holmes had been unable to obtain work, and became despondent. It is supposed that he committed the crime in a sudden fit of mania.
