The share list of the Inglewood Oil Boring and Prospecting Company, which proposes to continue its operations in the Mok»au district, closes in the course of a few days. In conversation with Mr T. Furlong, \ acting chairman of directors, a Herald reporter learned that shares had gone . off very well. In the Mokau-Awaklno districts nearly all the settlers having evinced a lively interest in the matter by investing capital. Mr Watson, the Company's broker, and Mr Geo. Ramson, one of the directors, who were in the district recently found .that the inhabitants as far as the mines were keenly interested. Mr G. Crawford, one of the directors of the New Plymouth Oil Com- * nany, who was on a visit here a few days ago. was very pleased with the outlook of the fipld and expressed his intention of endeavouring to induce bis romnany to recommence operations at Omata.
