COMMERCIAL. LONDON WOOL SALES. By Electric Telegraph. — Copyright. • LONDON, March 10. There were 9289 bales catalogued at to-day's wool sale. A capital selection of crossbreds and miscellaneous lots of merinos was offered. There was a crowded attendance, which included representatives from all the centres, including many Americans. Merinos are showing all-round advance of 5 per cent, on the closing rates of the February sales. Best merinos were un changed. Top making sorts advanced 5 per cent. Everybody was bidding. NEW ZEALAND DEBENTURES. LONDON, March 10. New Zealand is placing on the market half a million three and a quarter per cent Treasury Bonds, repayable in April, 1912. LONDON MARKETS. The competition for all descriptions is spirited compared with the closing rates of last sale.
