THE BUTTER EXHIBITS

Mr Thornton chatting to our representative said it was very pleasing to see stieh fine exhibits. The quality on the whole was very satisfactory. The flavours of the factory butter are fairly clean and all show good make. The colour in several instances was streaky. In his opinion the idea of taking; samples from the exhibitors' butter stored at Moturoa or other freezing works for export afforded a fair test of the keeping qualities of the butter having been made under ordinary conditions. Mr Thornton will be pleased to meet the various factory managers to-mor-row and go through the exhibits with them.
