PALMEUSTON SALES. (Special to Herald.) PALMERSTON N., Oct. 29. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report : At Palmerston to-day wo had an pxreptionally heavy yarding of cattle and a very good entry of sheep. The bulk of the entry was sold under the hammer and at the expiry of the day very little was turned out unsold. Sheep were a trifle easier of sale, but cattle were in good demand and sold well at la to rates. The entry consisted chiefly of thrown cattle. "We quote: — Cattle.—3 and 4-year forward bullocks Co 17s, £5 18s to £6 10s, 2-year steers £3 to £3 Bs. 18-month to 2-year steers £1 !•"<* to £'2 los, store cows 31s to £2 to £2 ss, fat cows £5 7s 6d, empty heifers £2 to £2 9s, springing heifers £3 5s to £4, dairy cows to £6, bulls £2 7s 6d to £3 10s. Sheep. — Ewes and lambs 10s 9d, 14s 6d. 14s 9d, 16s, 16s 7d to 23s od, 4 and 6-tooth ewes 10s 7d to 10s lid, fat ewes 10s, hoggets 13s. Owing to the A. and P. Show taking place next week, the usual sale will not be held. AUCKLAND SALES.
