LONDON MARKETS.
LONDON, Oct. 30. Wheat.—The market is firm with a confindent tone, reflecting the feeling in America. It is reported that some damage has been done to the Argentine crops by frost. Cargoes are firmly held. A line of 10,000 quarters from Adelaide and Victoi'ia, December-Janu-ary shipment, was sold at 36s Qd. The market for supplies on the spot is quiet at 30s 6d to 41s. Flour.—The market is steady. Quotations:—At London, 26s to 27, ex store; at Glasgow sellers are asking 26s 9d to 27s c.i.f. Copper.—On the spot £61 12s 6d, three months £62 10s. Electrolytic copper £63 los. Tin.—On the spot £134, three months £135 12s. Lead, £13 2s 6d. Sugar.—German 10s, first marks 11s 9d. % I Wool.—The Bradford wool market is unchanged. The tone is better. Butter.—Market firm. Danish 130s to 131 s. There is good demand for choicest colonial at 118s to 122s There is a special demand for unsalted, the price of which is about 2s per cwt. above that for salted. i vSilver, 23 l-16d. Kauri.—At the sales 251 bales wore offered and 75 bales sold. Prices are unchanged.
