NEW MAIL SERVICE.

WELLINGTON TO SAN FRANCISCO. Per Pr««B Association. DUNEDIN, Oct. 30. It has been decided that one of tho Union Company's steamers will leave Wellington every thirty-six days so as to arrive at Tahiti in time to connect with the Spreckel's mail steamers. Tho latter will tranship passengers and mails to the Union Company's vessel, and return from Papeete to San Francisco, the Union Company's steamer coming back to Wellington via Rarotonga. According to the present arrangement the run from Wellington to i 'Frisco will not occupy more than twenty-three days. The service will be inaugurated about January 3.
