EGG-LAYING.
NORTH /ISLAND COMPETITION.
The twenty-second week of the second competition promoted by the North Island Egg-laying Competition \Association. Ltd., at Cambrdge, was concluded on Friday, October 16. The number of eggs laid during the week was 1823, bomg an average of 27.62 eggs per pen. The total number of eggs laid since ***? I" is 28,324, being an average of 429 .15 eggs per pen.
