A child named Robert Isles, while playing on the bank of the river Styx this afternoon, fell in and was drowned. WANGANUI, Oct. 24. ■ Last night a tree fell across a tent at Parapara, Upper Wanganui district,, occupied by two men named John Seally. son of a well-known Wanganui resident and aged about 40 years, and Thomas Ryan. The forme.r was killed and Ryan* injured, but not seriously. 5
