Reports of the Northern Union football match in which the Australian team defeated Runcorn show that in the first half Messenger and Mortop each kicked a penalty goal for Australia. Runcorn then scored a penalty goal and then Messenger added another. In the second half Riincorn placed a goal from a try to their credit. Devereux added the winning try for the Australians near the call of time. Australia .'....: 9. ; Runcorn 7.
