THIEVES.

(To the Editor.) Sir, — I notice in Thursday's Herald that some miscreant has been at work again in our beautiful Park by stripping it of flowers. This is something disgraceful. But so long as ,the Board is so averse to punishing anyone who pilfers things from the Park, so long may we expect such conduct. It is to be hoped tho first person caught will meet with severe punishment, no matter who they are. A few weeks in the large building behind Marsland Hill would serve thorn right. Were I on the Bench at the time of inquiry, the culprit would not forget my presence. — I am, etc., •

INDIGNANT.
