LADIES' MATCH.

WELLINGTON, Sept. 20.

The ladies' representative, hockey match, Wanganui v. Wellington, was played here yesterday in splendid weather. Wellington won" by 4 goals* to nil. The match was well contested, although Wellington showed to better, advantage right through. The goals were scored by Misses Mclntosh, Lawry. Cox, and Glasgow.

Owing to many players being unable to make the trip, the annual match between Taranaki and Wanganui, to have been played next Thursday at Wanganui, has been abandoned.
