DRAUGHTS,

Glenroy, a recent purchase of Mr H. Purdie, or Waitara, is bred by Mr A. Alexander, arid" will be a decided acquisition in the district. He has plenty of size, and is of the purest blood, being by Glengyle out of Rose, by Director. He is rising eleven^ and is a meritorious show-ring horse, whilst at the stud he has been equally successful. He was not shown .as a yearling, butf as a two-year-old Ffe was first and champion at Taranaki, Palmerston, and Wanganui, and as a three-year-old he was first at Hamilton and Auckland. He has taken numerous first prizes at the Wanganui show since then, having beaten on one or two occasions his own sire, Glengyle.

Mr A. Mills' What's Wanted (Armadale, by Glengyle, out of Duchess of Alexandra by St. Alexandra) is a very well-bred horse, seven years old, of the best quality, and true to the Clydesdale type. He stands 16.2, and is of massive build, with clean, flat bone and well-formed joints, nice head and neck, and well-sprung ribs. Altogether he ia a most compact Specimen of the Clydesdale.
