(Special to Herald.) PALfIIERSTON N., Sept. 3. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report : — At Palmerston North to-day a medium entry of sheep, mostly hoggets, met with a fairly good demand, and all lines were disposed of at satisfactory prices. A small yarding of cattle, consisting chiefly of store and dairy cows, sold at recent quotations. Light fat wethers 14s 6d, fat and forward wethers 14s, forward wethers 13s 9d, ewes in lamb lls 2d, hoggets 6s Id, 7s 6d, 8s 9d, 8s lid, 9a 6d, 9s 8d to 10s 6d, springing cows £4 to £5 17s 6d, springing heifers £3 10s to £4 15s, empty 2-year heifers 32s 6d, weaners 10s to 15s, 2* and 3-year steers £3 10s 6d, store cows 35s to 37s 6d.
