The bakehouse ha.>> been considerably enlarged and all the walls are wood lined. The new owns Ik.»c been erected and an excellent hot water apparatus installed. The old fashioned b\stem of mixing the dou'jch l).v hand has l>een dispensed with, tho "Very desirable dough-mixini»; macliine having been procured. Sponge and cake beaters too have been i'ixed in the bakehouse so that now practically the- whole of the work is done by machinery, the whole being driven by electric motor power. A complete addition is a flour storeroom capable ot carrying 1000 sacks, and Mr. May lur. also had fitted a comfortable, little oliiee adjoining tho bakehouse. Hitherto accommodation in the afternoon tea room has been severely taxed, but this trouble lias been overcome by the erection of a new and commodious room capable oi accommodating sixty-four persons. It is nicely decorated and iurnibhed, is comfortable and well lighted. It is now open for business from 8 a.m. until f> p!rn. daily.
