WELLINGTON, August 22. Invitations ore to be sent to tlu- Nru South Wales and V ictorian Lawn Tennis Associations to send teams of .six mt'ii to New Zealand to play mulches about Christmas, failing this, the Associations arc to be asked to induce individual players to come.
The Victorian Association has MivHed New Zealand to send a te;»i i to Melbourne to compel e in the Mars-Buckley Mutch, but the management Committee ol the New Zealand body decided last night, that it would be unable to comply with the request. Further consideration is to be given by the Committee to a letter from the Lawn Tennis Association of Australian which discusses the probability of a (cam of four English players coming to Australia to compete for the Davis Cup and afterwards extending the visit to New Zealand.
