KAIKORAI BAND.

Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, August 18. In consequence of the City Council s refusal to permit the Kaikorai Band to give Sunday night concerts in aid of their visit to the BallaVat bands' competition, two offer* have been re : ceived by the Band. The No-license party offers to give, a series of Saturday night entertainments, and the Rev. Mr. Thomson (secretary of the Licensed Victuallers' Association) offers to conduct divine service on Sunday nights for the band. Both parties undertake that no reference will be made to licensing matters. The latter offer has been accepted. It is understood Mr. Thomson guaranteed £120 towards the Band's expenses, which assured their making the trip to Ballarat.
