TARANAKI JOCKEY CLUB.
The committee of the Taranaki Jockey Club then mefc. The same members were present. ; ' ' It was decided that- a bonus of £3 3s should be sent., to the Christchurch Press Company towards the publication of the Turf Register.^: ** \, It was also decided to send the usual levy of £1 per day for each racing day to the Racing Conference. The. North Taranaki Hunt Club thanked the Committee for permission to use the course on September 10th. A vote of thanks was passed to the Hon. O. Samuel, M.L.C., for acting as delegate to the Racing Conference at Wellington last month. . Mr R. H. Aldworth was appointed starter for the Christmas meeting: Mr G. Morse handicapper for the season; Mr F. Stohr timekeeper; and Mr W. C. Weston assistant clerk of scales.
