FIRES.
Per Press Association. AUCKLAND; August 14. A fire occurred this morning in the premises occupied by Mr. Greensilk, importer, and Maxwell and ' Montague, in the hall of the Commerce Buildings, damage 'to the. value of £1500 being done. The contents were insured in the Roy^L Company for £2000, and the bmldmgs for £9000 in the New Zealand Insurance Office. O AMARU. August 14. A fire at Mrs. Coupar's fruit shop, which was suppressed last night, broke out again this morning. The shop, with the adjoining building, occupied by Vesey, a carpenter, was destroyed. The insurances amount to £450.
