MANSLAUGHTER CHARGE.

A MOTORING FATALITY. Per /Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, April 15. William Diamond, a medical practitioner, who was concerned in the motor-cnr accident at Addington on the night of February 22nd, when Sydney Raymond Merritt received fatal injuries, was charged before Mr V. G. Day, S.M., at tho Police Court this afternoon with causing the death of Merritt by his negligent and improper driving, and thereby committing the crime of manslaughter. The accused was committed for trial, bail in £250 being allowed.
