NEW ZEALAND TEAM IN VICTORIA.

The New Zealanders played. a match With the South Melbourne Club to-day. The weather was good, as was /the attendance, and the green excellent. Following are the scores : .r— " New Zealand — Martin* Gee, Coltman. Goldstone (skip),. 2s; Victoria, 27. The New Zealanders scored at eleven ends, gaining three scores.' New Zealand,— <JJrood, Bastings, Bentjey, S&oullap (skip), 35; Victoria, 22. The local bowlers got in one six; thenceforth their highest was two. The New Zealanders scored consistently, registering several fives and fours. New Zealand — Wallace, McGibbon, Ham, Findlay, (skip), 26; Victoria 17. t 'New Zealand — Neave's, Gibson, Smith Waddell {skip), 32 j, Vidtoiaa 22. New Zealand — Stubberfield, Manning Chegwin, Bishop (skip), 16; Victoria, 32.
New Zealand — Thompson, Bunting, Johnston, Allnutt (sk^p) r .32; Victoria, 19. The local skipper was Slatter, an ex-champion. Totals : New Zealand, 162, Victoria, 139.
Before the commencement of the match the visitors were welcomed by the president (Mr Skinner). At the adjournment at ' 4 o'clock the New Zealanders were cordially welcomed on behalf of the local cricket, football, and bowling clubs by Mr Skinner, and on behalf of the citizens by the Mayor (Mr Straitguard). • The felicitous references made by these gentlemen were reciprocated by Messrs Waddell and Allnutt, who referred to the charming and picturesque green. A few of the New - Zealanders played a scratch match under the electric light. Tl^ey leave for Adelaide to-morrow.
