NO LICENSE PROSPECTS.

REV. F. W. ISITT'S TOUR. Rev. F. W. Isitt, who has been on a tour of inspection of the Dominion extending over five months, conferring with no-license workers in every centre, was interviewed by a . Post reporter' on his return to Wellington. He was most optimistic in his views. "I have j not yet consulted the .electors living in' Taranaki, Hawke's Baj r , ' and . other places within more or less easy access ok Wellington," he said, "so that I cannot yet state the conclusions arrived at. These will be submitted to the Alliance executive and provincial colleagues at the i annual convention, which will probably be held in June in Wellington. However, there's no doubt about «it the No-License Party as a whole realises the need for further legislation." ' '' \'! "Is sympathy with the movement confined to those actually, and actively engaged in it?" Mr Isitt was asked. ."We know," he replied, "that there are multitudes of : Sympathisers with and. voters for no-lioense upon whom, we can rely. Tjhey enjoy their glass of liquor, but they are quite willing to sacrifice it for the good of the community." Referring to fcis vis|t to the King Country, Mr Isitt said a certain amount of uncertainty appeared to exist in the minds of no-license .workers there as to tho condition of the law. There was some confusion even in the minds of the police as to, the exact measure of power they possessed to deal with the liquor question in the King Country. "In the confusionr"existing as to the power under the compact to which I have referred/ he £aid, "and the 'Kaianga Act/ we may, suffer j but one of our agents who has spent more weeks in Taumarunui than I was able to give days, is convinced that many of the people there are! anxious that the prohibition law should be' conserved and strengthened." - t
