Benbow returned to New Plymouth last night.' Mr. T, Ji. Murphy, Customs officer at Lyttelton* and formerly collector at this port, will shortly retire from the service, in which he has spent fortytwo years. Mr. Isaac Bayly and Mrs. Bayly leave to-night for Auckland, where they intend to reside in future. Mr. A. S< -Tonka, of Hawera, is taking up his residence in New Plymouth, having taken, for a term the house vacated by Mr. Isaac Bayly • in Gover Street.
