PALMERSTON SITTINGS.

Per Preps Association. PALMERSTQN N., Haro h 26 - T?he ISupreme Court sittings were continued to-day before Mr Justice Cooper. Ernest' Larcomb,' architect, claimed £265 from Henry Coles for the preparation of plans and supervision of a building. His Honour gave judgment for plaintiff for £20 without costs. Thos. RodgersV land 'agent, claimed £243 from Samuel Greer^for commission on sale of property to R. E. Bannister. The case was one in which one land agent gave particulars of the property to a client, who afterwards purchased the' same property through another land agent, who also had instructions to sell. Evidence was , given ; by Thos. Rodgers (plaintiff), Claude Mitchell (clerk), 'Samuel Greer (defendant ,o(rner' of property), and R. 12. Bannister (purchaser). His Honour gave judgment for defendant with costs. Thos. Clark claimed from the North* Island Brewery Company, of Mangatainoka, a dividend alleged to haVe been declared last year. The statement of. defence denied, the declaration ot a dividend, wh|ch baa been subject to a proviso that the shareholders should issue themsebres some of the shares now tin issued, and devote the whole dividend to the amount dvte, in respect of the shares. At the annual meeting plaintiff and atifrbher shareholder refused to take their dividend except in moitey, and the proviso was never massed. His said tha^ plaintiff h*<? *e«D misled into believing a dividend iiad been declared and Had not known of the proviso until the statement of defence was put in.' He therefore allowed ' plaintiff to take a nonsuit, and only allowed costs' at 'five guiiletis.,
