BUCKLAND AND SONS' REPORT.
(Special to Herald.) AUCKLAND, March 6. Messrs Buckland and Sons report: Cattle. — At Remuera on Thursday dairy cows sold at £3 10s to £7 7s 6d, dry £2 to £3 12s 6d. The few stores yarded were dull of sale. Young fat calves were in short supply and sold freely at from Is to £3; 38 sold. There was a- full yarding of fat cattle. Prices were irregular, and on the whole lower than for the last two weeks. Ox beef sold at from 20s to 22s per 1001 b, cow 17s to 20s. Steers ranged in price from £6 10s to £10 10s, cows £4 to £8; 383 sold. Sheep; — Less thaii the usual number of fat sheep came forward, and there was a decided improvement in values. Best wethers brought from 18s 6d to 21s od, lighter weights 18s ewes 13s 6d to 16s 6d. Lambs were yarded in average numbers and sold freely throughout. Best 14s to 19s, lighter weights 10s 6d to 13s 4cl ; 41 sold. Pigs. — Pigs were in full supply Small 2s 7d to 9s 6d, slips 10s 6d to 16s 6&, porkers 3Ss, baconers £2 16s; 151 sold.
