NOTICE is hereby given tha* at a Special Meeting of tho New Plymouth Borough Council held on the 27th day of January, 1908, the following resolution was passed : — J.n pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by "The ' Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1901," the Mayor, Councillors and Burgesses of the - Borough of N«Jw Plymouth hereby resolves as follows : — ' Thai for the purpose of providing z the Interest and Sinking Fund and other charges on a loan of £5200 authorised to be raised by tho Mayor, Councillors and Burgesses of the Borough of New Plymouth under the above-mentioned Act to provide additions and extensions to the Electric Lighting, either within or without the Borough, and to supply Electricity, to acquire in connection with such additions and extensions, lands, easements and appurtenances, and buildings, engines, machinery,' and other things, to pay compensation to any person injuriously affected, and any other purposes incidental to or in relation to any of the above' purposes, tho said Mayor, CounciUors and Burgesses of the Borough of New Plymouth hereby make and levy >a spe- , cial rate' of lid in tho £,' upon tho rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of New Plymouth, comprising the whole of the lands and premises within the said Borough, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during tho currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the first day of April and the first day of October in each and every year during tho currency of such loan, being a period expiring on the firet day of October, 1922, or until the loan is fully paid off.
