Christmas Day being wet, perhaps added to the enjoyment of many farmers. This is a busy time, and to sit idle on a fine day goes against the grain, so that the ram, which may have marred the pleasure of some, was a blessing to others. ■ The new Manganm bridge, which is now completed, was unofficially opened to the public late on Christmas E,ve. Mr O K. Larrikin, assisted by a sitiall but energetic party, performed the ceremony.
