I SATURDAY'S AUCTION SALES. NEWTON KING'S REPORT. Fruit.— At sales held during the week the fdllowing prices were realised: — American apples 14s to 17s 6d, local 3s, gooseberries 3s tc^ 4s, plums 5s to Bs, peaches 5s to 9s, tomatoes 7d to lid per lb., cucumbers ;6s to. Bs. peas 9d to lid, Frenqh beans 3s to 3s 6d, bananas 10s to 15s. On Wednesday I held a, clearing salo of furniture in town on account of Mr L. F. 'Biillot. »Thero_was a good attendance, and the salo passed off very satisfactorily.
