A German syndicate, with Prince Hohenlohe as president, obtained a concession to build a sanatorium at i Madeira on conditions such that the syndicate would prjlctically have had control of the Island. Aathe result, of an agitation by British business men at Madeira, the concession was cancelled. ; Tho syndicate claimed damages for the cancellation.
